DC Coupled
DC Battery Storage
Ideal for new solar installations

DC-coupled battery storage connects directly to your solar panels before the inverter. This means the solar energy is stored in the battery without being converted twice, making the system more efficient. Best suited for new solar installations where both the panels and battery are being installed together.

AC Coupled
AC Battery Storage
Works with existing solar systems

AC-coupled battery storage connects to the AC side of your electrical system, making it compatible with any existing solar installation regardless of brand or age. It can also charge directly from the grid during off-peak hours, maximising savings with time-of-use tariffs like Octopus Go.
