Yes. Panels generate from daylight, not just direct sun, so they still produce useful power on overcast Lancashire days — just less than in bright conditions. Output is lower in winter and higher across the long summer days, and a year-round system is sized with that in mind.
For most Preston homes, solar panels are permitted development and don’t need planning permission. Exceptions can apply in conservation areas or on listed buildings — we’ll advise you during the survey.
A typical domestic solar install in Preston is completed in one to two days, including scaffolding, mounting, the inverter and commissioning. We register the system and provide your full handover and MCS documentation afterwards.
